About Collin County Court

Collin county court is located outside of Dallas, in the famous city of McKinney. This county also includes Dallas, Plano, Richardson, Frisco and Wylie. Both the city and the courthouse are named for Collin McKinney, one of the men who drafted the Texas Declaration of Independence. The courthouse is part of an exciting downtown area that continues to grow as more and more people buy houses in the area. It is truly one the most impressive structures in town.

Whether you live in the historic district or in one of the new subdivisions around town, you may have need for the services offered by the court. Divorce, family disputes and misdemeanor offenses are the types of cases most handled by the Collin county court.
