Choosing your Dallas Criminal Attorney

Nothing can be more stressful and confusing than being charged with a criminal, felony, or misdemeanor. That’s why, when choosing your Dallas criminal attorney, you will want to make sure you have someone who knows what they’re doing in the courtroom --someone you can rely upon to make the best decisions as your representative.

When choosing your Dallas defense attorney, you must first and foremost consider what qualities are most important to you. Do you want someone young and who is willing to make up for a lack of experience through hard work, or someone with well-established credentials? Does your case require someone who has special knowledge of a certain area of criminal law (like Texas marijuana laws?), or will just any criminal lawyer be sufficient?

And when choosing your Dallas defense attorney, ask questions. Ask who will work on your case if you hire them, and what their experience level is. Ask them what rates they bill at. What percentage of work will their associates be doing, and what percentage of time will your attorney be dedicating to your case? Now is also a good time to find out what would happen to your case if your attorney became sick or unexpectedly became unavailable.

Remember, there is no such thing as “the best lawyer.” Good layers come from big firms as well as small ones. Some of them have more experience with Texas marijuana laws than others. It is your job to select the attorney that works best with your individual circumstances.

  1. In the United States, criminal law is arguably the most complex area of law, since it comprises a wide range of concepts. As a result of this, there are a wide range of available attorneys that specialize in criminal defense. A good criminal attorney will advocate on behalf of their client in court and defend them to the best of their abilities against criminal charges.
